Huawei Technologies (UK) Co. Ltd. is a registered Producer under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013 (Statutory Instrument 2013 No. 3113).

The UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations first became law in the UK on the 2nd of January 2007, with the purpose of preventing and reducing waste from electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) and of promoting reuse and recycling in order to reduce resource consumption. The law requires the Producer to finance the collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of WEEE.

Huawei Technologies (UK) Co. Ltd. undertakes to finance the management of WEEE arising from telecommunications infrastructure equipment placed on the UK market by us and sold to Business to Business Customers during this year and preceding years; unless alternative arrangements were agreed at the time of purchase or contracting.

If your old equipment was bought prior to 2005 and you are replacing the equipment with new equipment supplied by us, we will by arrangement take back your old equipment free of charge and dispose of it in an environmentally sound manner.
